'Montreal Worships' is a compilation of contemporary Christian, praise and worship songs - and a Hymn - from Montreal that proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord!
In 1864 William R. Featherston wrote the words to the hymn 'My Jesus, I Love Thee'. He was just sixteen years old.
He died before his twenty-seventh birthday.
He wouldn't have had far to look from the Church he attended on Rue. Ste. Catherine in Montreal towards Mont-Royal to view the stately mansions of what is now upper Westmount. The fourth verse of 'My Jesus, I Love Thee' begins with the words- "In mansions of glory, and endless delight", and they point beyond temporary worldly grandeur to the eternal Glory that the Lord Jesus Christ is building for those that are His own.
In 1876, the year after Wm. Featherston's death, Adoniram Gordon added the well known score to complete the Hymn.
'My Jesus, I Love Thee' is the signature song of, and the words of Wm. Featherston form the title to the music project; 'Montreal Worships'; "In Mansions of Glory & Endless Delight."
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD!
